China Eastern China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (simplified Chinese: ???????????? or ????; traditional Chinese: ??????; pinyin: zhongguó dongfang hángkong gufèn youxiàn gongsi) (SSE: 600115 SEHK: 0670 NYSE: CEA) is an airline headquartered on the grounds of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport in Changning District, Shanghai, People's Republic of China.[2] It is a major Chinese airline operating international, domestic and regional routes. Its main base is Shanghai Pudong International Airport, with a hub at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.[3]
On 11 June 2009, it was announced that China Eastern will merge with Shanghai Airlines.[4] All Shanghai Airline flights will codeshare with corresponding China Eastern flights until the official merge. The airline has been given a three-star rating from Skytrax.[5
