DC-6 DC-6 is a four-engined plane built by Douglas Aircraft Company from 1947 till 1959.
At the request of the US Air(Sight) Forces of a military transport aircraft having more capacity and more successful than DC-4, Douglas conceives the model DC-6: the fuselage is lengthened(stretched out), engines are more powerful. During the conception, the Second World War ends, Douglas transforms then its DC-6 by plane long haul civilian.
